In 1985, Mary and I embarked on a dream of establishing a dining tradition for our local market. We were blessed to see a level of success that would exceed our expectations with Shapley's becoming a dining destination. Although thankful, we had a greater priority so...
In 1998, we took a break from the business to raise our two girls, Amy and Elizabeth, who were 6 and 3 years old at the time. Now, twenty years later our girls and sons-in-law Mark and Stokes, are wonderful and busy with their own endeavors. When the opportunity presented itself to reengage in our first love, Shapley's Restaurant, Mary and I were ready for the challenge. We look forward to reconnect with past friends and making new ones.
We are very fortunate to have Jeffrey Shapley as our general manager as well as part of our family. He had been at Shapley's Restaurant for twelve years and is an integral part of our return and success. We extend special thanks to Jeffrey and the relationships he has built and maintained over the years.
Our name and reputation mean everything to the Shapley family and we will strive to uphold that legacy in the new restaurant. Great food and inviting atmosphere was always the centerpiece of our business and I assure you that will continue to be our goal. We are excited to start this next chapter and hope you enjoy the journey with us at Shapley's.
