In 1985, Mary and I embarked on a dream of establishing a dining tradition for our local market. We were blessed to see a level of success that would exceed our expectations with Shapley's becoming a dining destination. Although thankful, we had a greater priority so...

In 1998, we took a break from the business to raise our two girls, Amy and Elizabeth, who were 6 and 3 years old at the time. Now, twenty-seven years later our girls and sons-in-law Mark and Stokes, are wonderful and busy with their own endeavors. When the opportunity presented itself to reengage in our first love, Shapley's Restaurant, Mary and I were ready for the challenge.  Now, eight years later, it’s time for the next generation of Shapley’s to take the lead.

We are very fortunate to have had Jeffrey Shapley as our general manager as well as part of our family. Jeffrey has over 20 years of experience and is an integral part of our return and success. We extend special thanks to Jeffrey and the relationships he has built and maintained over the years, and we wish him the very best as the New Owner of Shapley’s Restaurant.

Our name and reputation mean everything to the Shapley family, and we will strive to uphold that legacy in the new era of the restaurant. Great food and inviting atmosphere were always the centerpiece of our business and I assure you that will continue to be our goal.  We are excited to start this next chapter and hope you enjoy the journey with us at Shapley's.
